My skin is soft, clear and smooth and healthy looking after doing that facial and this is what I did.
I used parsley.... (lots of them), orange juice and a bit of oats. (info on each ingredient is below)
Parsley:
Parsley contains a high concentration of vitamin C, iron and is a good source of manganese. It also contains calcium and is a great source of potassium.
The benefits these vitamins and minerals have on your skin is well know. Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant and in conjunction with protein, is necessary for the production of collagen - the glue that holds us and our skin together and circumvents sags or wrinkles. It regulates sebaceous glands to keep skin from drying out; helps prevent facial lines, wrinkles and spider veins.
Oranges: Vitamin C... I used orange juice instead of lemon because Mum said that lemon and egg yolk attracts alot of the sun's radiation causing you to be tan.
Oats:
- Oatmeal contains polysaccharides, a type of complex carbohydrate. When polysaccharides mix with water, a gel forms. This gel softens and nourishes the skin. It also protects skin from drying out even after you've washed the oatmeal away.
- Oatmeal contains healthy fats. When they come into contact with your skin, these fats help to add moisture to soften and repair your skin.
- Your skin is your body's first line of defense against pollutants. Oatmeal helps to strengthen your skin's defenses so it can do a better job.
- The saponins in oats help to remove dirt from your pores. This effect, combined with oatmeal's moisture-adding properties, gives your skin that soft glow after an oatmeal cleanse.
